Founded in 2018 by Melvin Shirley, Thrive Together Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to making a direct, lasting impact in the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness and hardship in Washington, D.C. What began as a simple shoe donation effort in partnership with the Government Publishing Office has evolved into a powerful grassroots movement, focused on providing essential resources, fostering community, and inspiring acts of compassion.

Shoe Donation Drives – Shoes Some Love Campaign
We organize annual and seasonal drives to collect and distribute new and gently used shoes to individuals experiencing homelessness. Since 2018, we’ve donated over 2,400 pairs — because every step forward matters.
